Bollywood actor Jacqueline Fernandez is being questioned by Enforcement Directorate (ED) today in Delhi. According to the reports, the questioning began five hours ago, and she has not yet come out. Jacqueline was summoned in connection with an alleged multi-crore extortion racket operated by Sukesh Chandrashekar, a “known conman” who is also an accused in a bribery matter involving the Election Commission.
According to the reports, Jacqueline is not an accused but a witness in the case against Sukesh Chandrashekar.
On August 24, ED had said that it had seized a sea-facing bungalow in Chennai, Rs 82.5 lakh in cash, and over a dozen luxurious cars in connection with the money laundering case against Chandrashekar. A case has been filed against him over alleged criminal conspiracy, cheating, and extortion to the tune of about ₹ 200 crore.
On the work front, Jacqueline Fernandez will be seen in a horror-comedy film titled ‘Bhoot Police’. The film also stars Arjun Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Yami Gautam. Bhoot Police is scheduled for release on 17 September 2021 on Disney+ Hotstar.
