It’s A Wrap For Fukrey 3; Shooting Of Four Friends Madness Concludes

Director Mrigdeep Lamba announced a wrap for Fukrey 3, says he will miss the madness

The shoot of the third installment of Fukrey has been completed and the director has announced a wrap. The franchise was kicked off in 2013 titled ‘Fukrey’ which received immense love from the youth. The film returned with the second installment as ‘Fukrey Returns’ in 2017. The director Mrigdeep Singh Lamba has extended the franchise with Fukrey 3 and announced a wrap saying he will miss the madness.

The third part of the film series went on floors earlier this year in March. Now Mrigdeep Lamba announced the wrap of the third and final leg of the shooting of Fukrey 3. Lamba called it a wrap for the third part of his franchise announcing the news on social media. Taking to his Instagram handle the director chose to share a picture from the sets. He wrote: “It’s a WRAP #fukrey3. Thank you #teamfukrey3. You guys were awesome. Each and everyone of you fuk fuk fuk fuk. Will miss shoot madness for sure. OK bye”. The last line of the caption reminds of the hit title track of the film series.

The characters of the series have remained constant even in the third installment. Four friends – Pulkit Samrat (Hunny), Varun Sharma (Choocha), Manjot Singh (Laali), Ali Fazal (Zafar), and local gangster Richa Chaddha (Bholi Punjaban). The movie revolves around these four friends coming together to make easy money and the problems they face as a consequence. The film also features Pankaj Tripathi. 

Talking about the Fukrey 3, the lady gangster of the movie Richa had earlier said, “The film is going to be bigger and better. I am really excited.” She added that the movie’s ‘premise was ridiculous’, which would be rendered believable by the cast.

The Fukrey series is bankrolled by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment. The madness is set to return to big screens and earn great at the box office. The first set Fukrey was filmed at a budget of Rs 8 crores and earned Rs 49 crores at the box office. Fukrey Returns was immensely successful as compared to the first part. The second part was made at a budget of 15-22 crores and earned 90% approximately 107 crores.
