Salman Khan has completed almost 34 years in Bollywood and in this 3 decades of acting career he has appeared in nearly 121 films. Completing a century in movies he has worked with numerous directors. Well after all these years the superstar has announced who is his best director.
The Bhaijaan called Sooraj Barjatya his best director and best human being. He also wished the filmmaker for his upcoming movie Uunchai. Khan took to his twitter account to send in best wishes to Sooraj Barjatya for Uunchai. He tweeted, “My best director and truly one of the best human beings I have ever met and worked with. All the best my brother Sooraj babuuuuuuu .. #SoorajRBarjatya.”
Salman Khan started his film career with a cameo in Biwi Ho Toh Aisi in 1988. His breakthrough role was in Rajshri’s Maine Pyaar Kiya in 1989. This was the first film that Sooraj Barjatya directed him. Since then Khan worked in numerous films with Sooraj. Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo was the filmmaker’s last directorial film and also the last collaboration with the superstar.
During the trailer launch of Uunchai, helmed by Sooraj, he revealed that Salman wished to work in the film. However, the filmmaker turned him down. Sooraj said, “When I was making this (Uunchai), Salman asked me, ‘Sooraj, what are you making? Why are you going to the hills?’ He also told me, ‘I can do this film!’ I said no because we all know he can climb the mountains and I needed people who look as if they can’t.”
Uunchai is a tale of friendship and their bond featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, and Boman Irani. The family drama has a unique theme and the story unravels three friends’ quest to summit Mount Everest. Among the veteran and senior star cast including Danny Denzopa, Sarika, and Neena Gupta the film also features Parineeti Chopra. Uunchai will release in theaters on 11th November 2022.
On the work front, Salman Khan is shooting for his upcoming movie Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. He also has Ali Abbas Zafar’s Tiger 3 and Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan in the pipeline.
