1. He comes from a small town of Budhana:

He was born in Budhana, Muzaffarnagar, U.P in a poor family. His father was a farmer and he has nine siblings. Their childhood days were difficult. His earliest memories are of waking up at 4 am to help his father on the farm before going to school. 

2. He married his wife, Anjali at a very young age:

Nawazuddin Siddiqui got married to Anjali Siddiqui at a very young age in their native hometown and she stayed there in the village while he struggled to get acting jobs. Currently, both of them live together along with their lovely daughter and son.

3. He worked as a watchman and a chemist:

After completing his graduation, he started working as a chemist in a petrochemical company for a while to sustain. Later, he moved to Delhi to pursue acting but had to work as a watchman. However, He did not let his passion for acting and joined a theater group in Delhi

4. He struggled as an actor to reach where he is:

In a play called Uljhan, which was based on a novel, he played the role of a tree where he had to keep his hands raised as branches for nearly 2 hours. He did that because he wanted to be there along with Manoj Bajpayee who was the lead protagonist. Later, he went on to first appear in Pepsi’s Sachin Ala Re campaign as a dhobi for which he was paid 500 Rs.
