Korean drama ‘Squid Game’ has become quite a sensation amongst people around the world. It has turned out to be Netflix’s biggest launch with more than 111 million households tuning in to watch. The craze doesn’t limit to watching it on Netflix. However, its effect is being seen on social media as well. Memes and video content relating to the show are being constantly shared on several social media apps with Instagram reels being on top.
Instagram users from around the world are seen using several Squid Game filters and posting reels. Even Indian celebrities have also tried their hands on the Instagram filter ‘Red Lite Green Lite’ which lets you play the Level 1 portrayed in the show. You just have to blink your eyes in order to move your character. And when it’s time to freeze when the deadly doll turns, you just have to stop blinking in order to freeze your character.
Popular model and actress Gauahar Khan tried this game with her husband Zaid Darbar. The married couple came out as a winner. Sharing the Instagram reel, she wrote, “Squid Game was the most crazy , fun , amazing show to watch. But this game was even more fun to play ! #redlitegreenlite #weWon #weLived hahahha !”
Indian singer, actor and composer Arjun Kanugo tried the game with his girlfriend Carla Dennis. Sharing the video, he wrote, “And…we are dead. PS. my vision is blurry from all the blinking.”

Television actor Raj Anadkat, who is known for playing the role of Tapu in ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ also hopped onto this trend. And, he won too. Raj wrote, “Hahaha ab toh Paisa hi paisaaaa.”
