Indian Celebs Called Out For Their ‘Paid Tweets’ On Farmers’ Protest

People are calling out the Indian celebrities on Twitter for their co-ordinated and allegedly paid tweets against the farmers' protest.

Bollywood celebrities and Indian athletes are facing severe backlash on Twitter for their coordinated tweets on the farmers’ protest. The farmers protest against the new proposed farm bills has been going on for over 2 months now. But the celebrities of our country chose to remain silent on it until international star Rihanna brought the world’s attention to it. Soon after Rihanna’s tweet went viral, dozens of celebs posted tweets supporting the farm bills.

What made people angry is the timings and similarity between all the tweets which gives an impression that the celebs were paid to tweet. Also, one can’t stop wondering that it took them 69 days to address the fire that has been fueling into their own backyard. Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Suniel Shetty, Saina Nehwal, Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar are just a few of the many names that have been facing the hatred of the common man.

Meanwhile, Taapsee Pannu is winning hearts for speaking in favour of the farmers’ protest and Rihanna’s tweet. She wrote, “If one tweet rattles your unity, one joke rattles your faith or one show rattles your religious belief then it’s you who has to work on strengthening your value system not become ‘propaganda teacher’ for others.”

People are hailing her for having a ‘spine’ which other celebs seem to have lost with time. Well, what are your thoughts on this?
