Imtiaz Ali Birthday: Bollywood’s ace director has today turned 51, the film director is known for giving hits like ‘Jab We Met’, ‘Rockstar’, and more. The director started his journey in Bollywood with his directorial ‘Socha Na Tha’ in 2005. Soon after which the director gave the Bollywood industry some of the biggest blockbusters like ‘Jab We Met’ in 2007, Rockstar, Highway, and many more.   1. Jab We Met (2007)

The movie turned out to be the turning point in the careers of Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor. Jab We Met became the biggest hit of the year 2007 and established the director’s work in the industry. The film features Kareena Kapoor’s lively character ‘Geet’, and Shahid Kapoor as a businessman’s son who is suffering from issues in his own life. In the end, the two ultimately find their happiness in each other.

2. Love Aaj Kal (2009)

Love Aaj Kal remained yet another remarkable romantic-drama film by Imtiaz Ali. Love Aaj Kal featured Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan as lovers in the film. Released in 2009 the film revolves around the complexities and issues in relationships in the practical world. While despite issues and problems the two lovers overcome all the hurdles to find each other and the love they once abandoned. In 2020 the sequel of the film was launched however the film failed to gain as much love and audience as the prequel.

3. Rockstar (2011)

Besides Kareena Kapoor’s ‘Jab We Met’ the director also made Rockstar which proved to be the gamechanger for Ranbir Kapoor’s career, the film remains on the list of Ranbir’s best performances till now. The film features Ranbir as Janardhan Jakhar aka Jordan who struggles to achieve his dream to become a rock star at the cost of his love. The highlight of the film remained the songs, from ‘Sadda Haq’ to ‘Jo Bhi Main’ with soundtracks given by AR Rahman.

Well, it seems that Imtiaz has been a savior for many Bollywood superstars, not only did he help actors in re-shaping he also made films that boosted their career growth, one of the major examples is Alia Bhatt herself. After making her debut in Bollywood with Student Of The Year the actress received a good response soon after which she appeared in the film ‘Highway’ opposite Randeep Hooda, the film gave her the chance to showcase her acting skills. Alia Bhatt appeared as a young bride named ‘Veera’, who gets abducted by a local gangster. While through the journey Veera discovers new meaning in her life. For the film, Alia claimed the Filmfare award for the best actress.

5. Tamasha (2015)

The romantic drama film reunited the actors Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor for their third film together. The film features Ranbir as ‘Ved’ who loses his personality while trying to live a conventional life. While Deepika who plays Tara helps him to re-discover himself throughout his journey to make him realize his true self.
