Actor Imran Khan made his debut in Bollywood with the 2008 movie Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na. In the movie, he shared the screen space with Genelia D’Souza. Surprisingly, the film was among the highest-grossing film of the year at the Box Office. Indeed the success of the first film meant the actor has a long way to go in his acting career. However, Imran Khan has now quit acting.
The news has been shared by Imran’s best friend Akshay Oberoi who told it to a news daily. Akshay Oberoi said that his friend has bid goodbye to his acting career and thus he is no longer an actor.
In his interview with Navbharat Times, Akshay said, “My best friend in Bollywood is Imran Khan, who is no longer an actor because he has quit acting.”
He further added, “As far as I know, there is a better writer and director inside Imran, I do not know when he will direct his film himself, I am not going to put any pressure, but as a friend, I think so he will direct his film soon.”
Speaking of Imran’s acting career, in the career spanning of 12 years he has given 4-5 successful movies. The actor has been part of cult classic movies like Delhi Belly and I Hate Luv Stories. He last starred in the 2015 movie Katti Batti opposite Kangana Ranaut.
As of now, Imran Khan is making it into the headlines because of his torrid married life. The actor is reportedly getting divorced from his wife Avantika Malik. The couple officially separated a few years ago. However, the legal proceedings are yet to happen.
Neither of the two has addressed the divorce rumours but reportedly they are not on a good note with each other. Avantika often posts cryptic posts on her social media handle hinting at divorce with Imran Khan.
