Hrithik Roshan Rejected Brahmastra 2 For This Reason

Hrithik Roshan who is gearing up for Vikram Vedha did not accept a lead role in Brahmastra 2 for his dream projects

Brahmastra: Part One Shiva is a much-anticipated film with an ensemble cast. All eyes are on Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer amid a boycott against the film. Days before the release of Ayan Mukerji directorial reports revealed that Hrithik Roshan was offered a significant role in the fantasy adventure drama. However, Hrithik Roshan turned down the offer of Brahmastra for a valid reason. Read on to know what would have made the actor to reject the film.

Hrithik Roshan was offered a lead role in Brahmastra 2 – Dev. Yes, Brahmastra 2, which will the second part of Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra – Shiva. The makers proposed the role of Dev to Vikram Vedha actor but he refused and now they are on the hunt for an actor to play Dev in Brahmastra 2. It is confirmed that Hrithik Roshan turned down Brahmastra 2 for two high-on visual effects films, Krrish 4 and Ramayana. 

A source close to the development told Bollywood Hungama, “Hrithik is already doing two high-on visual effects films – Krrish 4 and Ramayana. He felt, that doing Brahmastra 2 would mean too much of a time investment on another VFX-heavy film. This decade, he wants to do more films and he doesn’t want to end up spending the next 7 years on these 3 dream projects. He informed his thought to Ayan and Karan, and politely let go of the offer.”

Brahmastra is the biggest budgeted film of 2022 and it is finally set to release after years in the making. The film delivers a unique concept of Astras. Helmed by Ayan Mukerji the film is backed by Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Production. Brahmastra: Part One Shiva is set to release on 9th September.

On the work front, Hrithik is gearing up for Vikram Vedha with Saif Ali Khan. He also has Fighter with Deepika Padukone in the pipeline. The actor is set for his dream project Ramayana and is in progress to extend the Krrish franchise with Krrish 4. Vikram Vedha will arrive in theaters on 30th September.
