Shreyas Talpade Issues An Apology For A Scene In His Old Film Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal

Shreyas Talpade recently made headlines after a scene from his previous film, Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal, offended Hindu sentiments.

Shreyas Talpade made a name for himself doing comedy movies in Bollywood during the 2000s. One of the most-underrated actors, he has focused for the past few years on doing Marathi projects and continuing his stint as Laxman in Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal franchise. He recently made headlines after a scene from his previous film, Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal, offended Hindu sentiments and went viral on social media.

Shreyas Talpade can be seen halting a tiny truck by putting his foot on the bonnet in the video that is going viral on Twitter. The bonnet, where he places his foot, has the letters “OM” written on it, which attracted the attention of online users. Internet users assert that he has offended Hindu feelings by doing this. The actor has now apologized.

Sharing the apology note he wrote, There are too many factors while one is shooting… which includes one’s mindset during a sequence especially action scenes, the director’s requirements, the time constraints & a lot of other things. But this is not me explaining or justifying myself for what you see in the video, all I can say is this was completely unintentional & I am very apologetic for the same. I should’ve seen that & brought it to the director’s notice. Nevertheless, I would never intentionally hurt anyone’s sentiments or repeat something like this.

The Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal, directed by Priyadarshani, was released in 2012. It also starred, Nana Patekar, Asrani, and Shakti Kapoor Om Puri, and Nyra Banerjee.

On the professional front, Shreyas Talpade will make a comeback to the big screen as former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Kangana Ranaut’s film Emergency.
