Here’s Why Poster Of Saina Nehwal’s Biopic Has Disappointed People

The first poster of Saina Nehwal's biopic is out and people aren't happy with it. Find out why!

Saina Nehwal’s biopic has been a long-awaited project of Bollywood. The film started with the casting of Shraddha Kapoor who was then replaced by Parineeti Chopra. Recently, the makers of the film released its first poster along with the announcement of its release date.

In the poster, one can see a hand reaching out for the shuttlecock which uses the word ‘Saina’ instead of the feathers. While most people found it creative, the poster failed to impress many fans. Twitter users believe that the poster goes against the basic rule of badminton.

Mentioning the same, a user wrote, “The image of the hand is more like the tennis ball being thrown up in the air for serve for game of tennis, certainly not player getting ready to serve while playing badminton.”

Another user tweeted, “Badminton ka serve neeche se hota hai. A tennis fan must have made the poster.”

“Poster mein hi basics galat hai, pata nahi film kaise banaya hoga. Atleast Saina se consult karke poster nikalte,” read another comment.

Someone even edited the poster and mentioned that it must be tennis player Sania Mirza’s biopic as the poster shows a tennis serve.

And that’s not it. The poster’s tagline reads ‘Maar Dungi’. Cinema fans aren’t very pleased with this aggressive tagline.

The film will release on 26 March 2021.
