Here’s Why People Are Boycotting Saif Ali Khan’s Web-Series Tandav

People are boycotting latest web-series Tandav over a controversial scene. Check out the details!

Saif Ali Khan’s latest web-series has landed in deep trouble as people are calling for a boycott. Tandav is a political drama starring Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Sunil Grover, Kritika Kamra and Dino Morea.

A certain section of the audience has taken offense over the show’s one particular scene wherein actor Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub plays a stage performer appearing as Lord Shiva and is heard saying, “Azaadi, what the f***?” He also indirectly points out how the JNU students were called anti-nationals.

People believe that the makers have deliberately mocked and targeted the Hindu sentiments. And this is why, #BoycottTandav is trending on Twitter.

A user wrote, “This is the mockery of our religious belief. These film makers have been doing this kind of shit intentionally. Why they are targeting hindu gods ? Why they didn’t use “prophet Mohd” instead of lord Shiva. So boycott this.”

BJP spokesperson Gaurav Goel wrote on Twitter, “Go to nearest police station and file online complaint.”

Twitter is currently flooded with such tweets.

Actor Ayubb is also being targeted online for joining anti-CAA protests last year.
