Here’s what Shahrukh Khan is donating amid coronavirus outbreak

Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan has announced a series of initiatives to fight the deadly coronavirus. He has taken the help of his companies- Red Chilies Entertainment, Kolkata Knight Riders and Meer Foundation to help the central and state governments. Making the big announcement, King Khan wrote, “Given the enormity of the task, my team and I discussed ways to contribute in our modest ways. We have come up with a series of initiatives, which we hope will make a small difference.”

He also appreciated the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Ministers Uddhav Thackeray, Mamta Banerjee, Arvind Kejriwal and others for their commendable working in fighting the pandemic. 

So here’s how Shahrukh Khan will be extending his support:

1- Kolkata Knight Riders, IPL team co-owned by Shahrukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Juhi Chawla and Jay Mehta will be contributing to PM Cares Fund. 

2- Red Chillies Entertainment owned by Shahrukh and Gauri will contribute to Maharashtra CM’s Relief Fund. 

3- KKR and Meer Foundation will work with state governments to contribute 50,000 PPE kits. 

4- Meer Foundation, along with Ek Saath will provide daily food requirements to over 5500 families for at least one month in Mumbai. A kitchen will also be set-up to send out 2000 freshly cooked meals every day to help households and hospitals whose daily needs are not being fulfilled. 

5- Meer Foundation along with Roti Foundation will provide 3 lakh meal kits with 10,000 people per day for at least a month. 

6- It will also provide basic essentials and grocery items for at least a month to over 2500 daily wagers who have been identified across Delhi. 

7- Also, they will provide a monthly stipend to over 100 acid attack survivors across UP, Bihar, Delhi, West Bengal and Uttarakhand. 

In the end, Shahrukh also mentioned, “this is a start and all the members of the companies stand committed to doing further” as they see the situation in the coming days.
