Here’s What Ishkq In Paris Actor Gaurav Chanana Doing These Days!

Gaurav Chanana made his acting debut with the Star Plus show 'Sanjeevni' in 2002. He disappeared from the industry after his film 'Ishkq In Paris'.

Do you remember Preity Zinta’s 2013 film Ishkq In Paris? The film had created a strong buzz in the tinsel town as it marked Zinta’s comeback in Bollywood. Apart from starring in the film, she also donned the hat of producer and writer with this film.

Alongside Preity was a very handsome man Gaurav Chanana who disappeared from the industry right after the film’s release. With a charming face, green eyes and a strong persona, Gaurav had created a special place in the hearts of the audience. Some people also recognize him from the Star Plus show ‘Sanjeevni’ which was his acting debut in 2002. Well, after a breakthrough performance alongside Preity Zinta, the young actor disappeared from the limelight.

In an exclusive interview with us, Gaurav told us that shortly after the film’s release, he moved to Delhi to take care of his sick mother. He took a hiatus of 2-3 years and stayed with his mother. And now, Gaurav is now back in the business, but not as an actor but filmmaker. His brainchild ‘Lucifer Circus’ has been revolutionizing the advertisement industry for the last 2.5 years.

Lucifer Circus is a production house and content creation company founded by Gaurav Chanana. They have been making path-breaking advertisements for leading brands like Amazon, Tanishq, P&G and ITC. Gaurav recently produced Swayam campaign which drew the attention of Bollywood biggies like Ajay Devgn and Kajol. Conceived by Sujoy Roy of Ogilvy and directed by Deepak Thomas, the campaign hits out at patriarchy and celebrates a different kind of masculinity; one that is progressive and empowering.

His ad film called ‘Amazon Karigar’ won Dadasaheb Phalke Award for the Best Ad Film of the year.

Gaurav is loving this phase of life. He says that he always wanted to create content.

“With Lucifer Circus, I want to tell impactful stories,” says Gaurav.

Will he return on screen? Well, we had the same question.

With a hint of his comeback as an actor in the next few years, Gaurav said, “Once an actor, always an actor.”
