There’s no doubt that Shah Rukh Khan is among the self-made superstars in Bollywood. The now world-renowned actor has had his fair share of struggles before getting the taste of stardom. After making it big into the entertainment industry, SRK is an inspiration to many dreaming to become an actor. Unfortunately, the superstar’s parents are not alive to see their son achieve new milestones. In a recent interview, SRK spoke about how he decided to get over the demise of his parents.

Everyone knows that Shah Rukh Khan lost his parents at a very young age. In fact, they left for heavenly abode before the 55-year old got the taste of stardom and success.

On numerous occasions, the actor gets emotional while speaking of his parents and also wishes that they should have been alive to see him become a superstar.

During the promotions of Hichki, Rani Mukerji asked SRK about the hiccup moment in his life. Revealing the same, the Raees actor said that it indeed was losing his parents. Shah Rukh further added that he lost his father at the age of 15 and his mother at the age of 26.

SRK recalls the house being empty and how loneliness, pain, and sadness came to bite him and his sister.

Speaking of how he decided to get over the demise of his parents, SRK said, “I decided to get over my Hichki moment by letting acting fill up my entire life. My parents went away suddenly.”

He also confessed that acting is not only a profession for him but it is a place to vent out his feelings.
