The joyous occasion of Diwali is right here and the tinsel towners are gearing up for the same. It is that time of the year where the celebrities take a break from their work and head back home. The majority of the celebs will spend Diwali with their loved ones and family. In her recent interview, Deepika Padukone spilled the beans on how she and husband Ranveer Singh are planning to celebrate Diwali 2020.

Unlike previous years, many of the celebrities are going to keep Diwali celebrations a low key affair. The reason behind the same is the on-going coronavirus pandemic. Amitabh Bachchan and Ekta Kapoor are not celebrating Diwali in a grand way this year due to Rishi Kapoor’s demise.

In her recent interview with Hindustan Times, Deepika Padukone also revealed her plans for Diwali 2020 celebrations with hubby Ranveer Singh. The actress spoke about celebrating Diwali in the middle of a pandemic.

Speaking of the celebration, DP said, “Honestly, we are going to keep things quite low key, keeping in the mind the sensitivity (of the situation) towards the environment and the people around us.”

Furthermore, the Om Shanti Om actress added, “It’s been a difficult year for many in different ways. So, what we intend to do is, to stay at home, do a simple pooja and spend time with family. Normally, that’s what we, anyway, do.”

Opening about her big wish for Diwali 2020, Deepika Padukone said that she is wishing for everyone’s good health and peace of mind.

On the work front, Deepika Padukone recently returned from Goa after shooting for Shakun Batra’s upcoming venture.

Apart from that, the 34-year old is also gearing up for the release of the much-awaited film ’83. In the movie, Deepika Padukone will share the screen space with Ranveer Singh.

The makers of the film have pushed forward the release date of the film owing to the on-going pandemic. Reports suggest that the film will release in the first half of 2021.
