Hansal Mehta Wants NCB Officer Sameer Wankhede To Resign?

As NCB Officer Sameer Wankhede is accused of extortion, filmmaker Hansal Mehta wants him to resign!

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta wants NCB Officer Sameer Wankhede to resign from his post. Sameer took over the drugs case after the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in June 2020 and is now investigating several Bollywood celebrities including megastar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan. However, Sameer has been accused of extortion. Politician Nawab Malik accused Sameer of extorting film stars in the Maldives. And now it is reported that a witness felt a threat to his life from Sameer Wankhede and that he was made to sign a blank panchnama by the NCB.

In light of all these accusations against NCB officer Sameer Wankhede, filmmaker Hansal Mehta has put a tweet expressing his opinions. He tweeted, “Sameer Wankhede must resign until these (serious) charges are disproved. Why should the onus of proving innocence only be upon those he arrests?”

He had earlier extended his support to Aryan Khan and his parents Shahrukh and Gauri as he wrote, “It is painful for a parent having to deal with a child getting into trouble. It gets compounded when people begin to arrive at judgments before the law takes its course. It is disrespectful and unfair to the parent and to the parent-child relationship.
