Thadam remake film starring Mrunal Thakur and Aditya Roy Kapur has finally got its title as Gumraah. The film crew has recently started its second shooting schedule in Mumbai.

Mrunal Thakur-Aditya Roy Kapur to feature in Thadam remake titled ‘Gumraah’

The duo will be seen together for the first time together on the big screen for their upcoming film Gumraah. The film is a Hindi remake of the hit 2019 Tamil film, Thadam, which is now titled Gumraah. Based on true events, the crime thriller features the Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani actor who will be seen in a double role for the very first time in two completely different avatars and Mrunal will be seen playing a cop.

Film critic Taran Adarsh shared the news on his social media, as he wrote, “ADITYA ROY KAPUR – MRUNAL THAKUR: ‘THADAM’ REMAKE TITLED ‘GUMRAAH’… The #Hindi remake of #Tamil film #Thadam – starring #AdityaRoyKapur [in his first-ever double role] and #MrunalThakur – is titled #Gumraah… Commences second shooting schedule in #Mumbai today.”

Based on true events, the crime thriller features Aditya Roy Kapur will be seen in a double role for the very first time in two completely different avatars and Mrunal Thakur will be seen playing a Cop. This thriller film will showcase an intense face-off between Aditya Roy Kapur and Mrunal Thakur.

Announcing the film last year, Aditya had shared a picture on Instagram. “Thrilled to announce my next.” he wrote in the caption.

The film has completed its first schedule of shooting and has begun with its second shooting schedule in Mumbai and Ronit Roy will be joining the shoot soon. Directed by Vardhan Ketkar, the film will be produced by Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani.

Apart from ‘Gumraah’, Aditya also has Kapil Verma’s ‘Om – The Battle Within’ with Sanjana Sanghi. He will also be seen in the remake of the British series ‘The Night Manager’. Mrunal on the other hand was last seen in ‘Jersey’. Apart from ‘Gumrah’, she has ‘Aankh Micholi’, ‘Pippa’, and the Telugu film ‘Sita Ramam’ in the pipeline.
