Govinda’s Daughter Says Nobody Can Call Her ‘Nepo-Kid’

Govinda's daughter Tina Ahuja feels that she is not a producet of Nepotism. Here's why!

The star kids of Bollywood are often targeted for the privileges they get for being who they are. Nepotism has always existed in the industry but the discussion around it gained much momentum in the recent past.

The star kids easily get work opportunity for which the outsiders struggle for years. However, Govinda’s daughter Tina Ahuja proudly says that she has never taken any professional help from her father and whatever opportunities she has received, it is on the basis of her merits and not because she is Govinda’s daughter.

Tina made her Bollywood debut in 2015 with Second Hand Husband, opposite Gippy Grewal. The film, which also starred Geeta Basra and Dharmendra didn’t perform well at the box office. In a recent interview, Tina said that Govinda never tried to use his influence to get her film offers. She said that if she were a product of nepotism, she ‘would have signed 30-40 films already’.

She further added, “That’s the one thing that dad has not done so far and I have never asked him to. The day I feel that I need something, he is always there, but I can never be called a nepo-kid; I have got all my movies on my merit. I got all the offers on my own. Dad has never called up anyone to get me a movie, so I can’t be called a nepo-kid.”

However, she also told that her father Govinda really wants to produce a film for her. Though it is not happening right away but it is surely on the cards.
