Govinda Gives Most Humble Reaction To “Boycott Bollywood” Trend

Superstar Govinda reacts to the ongoing trend of "Boycott Bollywood". His statement will win your hearts.

Bollywood celebrities have been facing extensive backlash this year. The netizens are on a never-ending spree of boycotting every other Hindi movie that hits the theatres. From Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha to Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger, several films have bombed at the box office due to the “Boycott Bollywood” trend. Some celebs have also been seen taking the audience’s sentiments lightly. Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt even made statements like “if you don’t want to, then don’t watch our films. Nobody is forcing you.” Their statements led to a massive drop in their fan following and even their films suffered to some extent.

Superstar Govinda, who ruled the box office in the 80s and 90s, has now reacted to the Boycott Bollywood trend. He said during an event, “I think we should accept it as an exercise and if we work according to certain rules, then there would be no difficulties. And if we get habitual of speaking after thinking then we won’t have to think after speaking.”

“And what’s wrong if the public is saying something? We must consider what they are saying. If we realise that we have done something wrong, then we must apologize. What’s so tricky in this?” he added.

Govinda, who is known as the “Hero No. 1” also added that “Half a dozen people have become No. 1 now. And when it happened, I stopped being attached to the number 1 titles. We should get out of the number game.”
