Genelia D’Souza Shares Her Experience Of Fighting Covid-19

Genelia D’Souza has revealed that she was tested positive for Covid-19 and shared her experience of fighting the virus.

Actor Genelia D’Souza has revealed that she was tested positive for Covid-19 earlier this month. She was asymptomatic and remained in isolation for 21 days. The good news is that she has successfully recovered and is now back with her husband and kids.

Sharing her experience of fighting the virus, Genelia wrote on Instagram, “Hi, I was tested COVID-positive three weeks ago. I was asymptomatic for last 21 days. With God’s grace I tested COVID-negative today. As much as I count my blessings that my battle with this disease has been much easier but at the same time I must admit that these last 21 days in isolation have been the most challenging for me to deal with.”

She also shared one way to fight the disease. Genelia wrote, “No amount of FaceTime and digital immersion can kill the evil of loneliness. I am happy to be back with my family and loved ones. Surround yourselves with love… That’s true strength and it’s all one needs. Test early, eat healthy, stay fit – the only way to fight this monster.”

Genelia is married to Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh. The lovebirds walked down the aisle in 2012 and are parents to two sons- Riaan and Rahyl. Genelia quit her acting career after marriage. However, she has made cameo appearance in a few films like Jai Ho, Lai Bhaari, Force 2 and Mauli.

Genelia is best known for her film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, Force, and Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya. Genelia has also worked in several Telugu films like Ready, Naa Ishtam, Katha, Subhash Chandra Bose etc.

In an interview in 2019, Genelia spoke about making a comeback in films. She said, “I am happy that I have been through different phases of life. From the extremely ambitious one, where films meant the world to me to the laid back time once I got married and had kids to now when I am back at work again.”
