One of the most loved couples of Bollywood Ritiesh and Genelia recently marked their 9th year anniversary and have spent almost 15 years together and during all these years their love only grew but it wasn’t like this always.
Genelia shared how she didn’t get along very well initially and how she had some preconceived notions about her husband. The two didn’t even talk much during the shoot of their first movie together.
“Honestly, I thought that Riteish is this rich, very connected brat, so I shouldn’t look at him and talk to him, so I didn’t,”
she said.
“He was wondering why am I not talking. He was very sweet, so I wanted to talk to him, but I was like, one shouldn’t feel that I am talking to you because you are the chief minister’s son and all of that. But anyway, we started talking and then we never stopped for the next 18 years” she further shared.
But it was only later when she realized Riteish’s Real character.
“At one point, I remember sitting for a shot on a bench in Ramoji Film City. They were shifting some lights. We were sitting on a bench and she looked at me and said, ‘Where is your security? Are they in the bush?’ Riteish recalls.’What security? I don’t have any.’ That’s what changed, that this is a normal boy who roams around without security,” he said.
Sharing about their love life Riteish said,
“We started working as strangers, then began understanding each other. Off the sets, we soon became best friends. I would discuss architecture with her while she would discuss college and exams with me! The beauty of a relationship is when you get used to a person; it is not sudden. It is just a process, and you don’t realize when love happens”
The couple who recently celebrated their 9th year marriage anniversary, wifey Genelia shared on Instagram,
“Dearest @riteishd, You don’t find love, it finds you, It’s got a little bit to do with destiny, fate, what’s written in the stars, and a lot to do with special kinds of you. There is no me without you. I’m totally madly, crazy in love with you. Happy Anniversary Love,” she wrote.
