Gandhi Jayanti 2020: Bollywood Celebs Pay Tribute To Mahatma Gandhi

Bollywood celebrities remembered the sacrifices and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi on his 151th birth anniversary.

On Mahatma Gandhi’s 151st birth anniversary, India is remembering the sacrifices and teachings of the great leader. Bollywood celebrities took to their social media today to pay a tribute to the Father of our Nation.

Siddharth Malhotra wrote, “His ideals of shutting down violence with Ahimsa gives us the strength in fighting our own battles. Together let’s avoid the spread of hate and negativity.

Riteish Deshmukh wrote on Twitter, “Aaj Hume Mahatma Gandhi Ji Ke Vichaaro Ki Sabse Zyada Zaroorat Hai. Jo Badlav Hum Apne Desh Mein Chahte Hain, Vo Hi Badlav Hume Sabse Pehle Apne Andar Laana Hoga.”

Actor Shabana Azmi wrote, “Remembering Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary.Clinging by the slender thread of Hope that his guidance will lead us out of this quagmire of darkness into the light.”

Kamal Haasan wrote in his tweet, “Happy Bday to Mr. MK Gandhi. Sharing what @Iaksharahaasan had sung for me when she was a child. Calling all Indians to remember the great man whose life was his message to us! Let’s make India a place where Equality prevails-sare jahan se achcha, Gandhi’s India can still be ours!.”

Priyanka Chopra, Taapsee Pannu, Bhumi Pednekar and other celebs too remembered Gandhi Ji.

Mahatma Gandhi was born on October 2, 1869 and played an important part in India’s fight for freedom.
