Gagan Arora Reveals Getting Injured While Shooting ‘The Fame Game’ With Madhuri Dixit

Actor Gagan Arora, who plays a pivotal role in Netflix series 'The Fame Game' reveals getting injured while shooting.

In Netflix India’s latest web series, Madhuri Dixit made her digital debut alongside her ‘Raja’ co-star Sanjay Kapoor. Actor Gagan Arora, who rose to fame with TVF’s College Romance, also has a pivotal role in the show as he plays an obsessive fan of Madhuri’s character (Anamika Anand).

In an exclusive interview with us, Gagan revealed getting injured on the sets of ‘The Fame Game’. Initially titled ‘Finding Anamika’, the show was shot before Sony Liv’s ‘Tabbar’ also starring Gagan Arora. Gagan revealed that he almost lost his role in ‘Tabbar’ due to the injury that he suffered while shooting ‘The Fame Game’.

He said, “‘The Fame Game’ was shot before Tabbar. There was a gap of 7-10 days between both the shoots. On the last day of ‘Finding Anamika’, when I was shooting with Madhuri Ma’am, I suffered a torn ligament in my leg. It was very painful that I couldn’t even walk. The doctor advised me three months of bed rest. I was so worried that I would miss out ‘Tabbar’, the shoot of which was just a week away. I called the director and told him about my situation. I also said that I would understand if they cast someone else to replace me. He hung up the call saying that he’ll call me back. And those two hours were the most difficult hours of my life. I was so worried and kept praying that this script doesn’t go away from me. And luckily, it didn’t. The director incorporated my injury in the script of Tabbar. And I think it’s very smart. I also felt confident that the director trusts me so much that he is willing to make that change for me.”

‘The Fame Game’ is an 8-episodic series starring Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Kapoor, Manav Kaul and Gagan Arora. It is backed by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment and started streaming on Netflix on 25th Feb.
