The Fukrey franchise is one of the most underrated yet among the successful franchises of Bollywood. The first instalment of the franchise titled Fukrey released in 2013 and although the film didn’t do good business at the Box Office it enjoyed its cult following. Everyone hailed the comedy-drama and appreciated the actors for carrying the characters with total ease. The second instalment of the franchise titled Fukrey Returns entered the 1000 crore club and since then, there have been speculations about the third part and its plotline.
Meanwhile, the fortune has favoured the fans as the makers of the film have dropped the hint about the third part of the film Fukrey was helmed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and Produced under the Excel Entertainment banner received tremendous appreciation and admiration, so the third instalment doesn’t come as a surprise.
The Entertainment took to their social media handle and reposted the director’s post hinting that the third part of the film is in works. They posted an image of the three main protagonists in the film along with Panditji with the caption, “#repost @mriglamba… #flashbackfukrey #memeries Panditji ki bavishyawani”
Mrighdeep Singh Lamba posted on Instagram about Fukrey 3 where the character of Panditji said, “Teesra part taiyaar ho raha hai”. That translates to, “Third part is in the making”.
The fans are elated by the news and are now awaited for the official announcement.
Earlier, it was speculated that the third instalment of the film will have a coronavirus plot in the film. But later the makers refuted the rumours saying, “It is not true at all. This is hardly an issue that can be slipped into a plot as an afterthought. This is a misreport.”
Lamba also said that he will probably make an independent film about the coronavirus pandemic but has no thoughts of adding the same to the Fukrey franchise.
