Mukesh Rishi, the remarkable actor who continues to leave his mark across various Indian film industries including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and even Punjabi and Marathi, recently opened up about his career. Known for his versatility, Rishi has worked in over 1000 films and series. His journey in Bollywood is particularly notable for his collaborations with two of the biggest names in the industry, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan.
In an exclusive interview with Lehren, Rishi spoke about his experiences working alongside Aamir Khan and Salman Khan. One of the first major roles he had was with Aamir Khan in the 1995 film Baazi. He recalled how Aamir Khan, even then at the height of his career shared the story of Sarfarosh with him. Though Mukesh was interested he still had to audition for the film. Those days with Aamir were a turning point in his career, Rishi confessed.
Later, Rishi also got the chance to work with Salman Khan in the 2004 film Garv. He played Zafar Supari, a ruthless don,and remembered how the role demanded little improvisation from the actors. Director Puneet Issar had already crafted the characters in a way that allowed the actors to follow a precise script.
Reflecting on his long career, Mukesh Rishi credits his personal life experiences for helping him shape his acting skills. His journey from sharing the screen with Aamir Khan, Salman Khan to becoming a household name is truly inspiring.
