A gamer turned roaster turned actor, he initially started off his YouTube channel named ‘Carryminati’- a gaming channel. He stands as one of the most popular YouTubers of India as of now with a strong 15 M subscribers. He recently made his debut in Ajay Devgn, Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Mayday’ where he is reportedly said to portray his own character.
“What made it really interesting for me was when I heard I am supposed to play my own character (CarryMinati) and the way it’s going to be shown on screen. I am excited to see how this will unfold,” he said. Apart from crying, his YouTube original song ‘Yalgaar’ was used in Abhishek Bachchan’s ‘ The big Bull’
Prajakta Koli Aka Mostlysane
You surely live under a rock if you haven’t heard of this one or seen one of her videos on YouTube. Her widely purple content is highly relatable amongst youngsters. The popular rom com Hindi drama series Mismatched marked Koli’s debut on Netflix late last year. With her soaring popularity and well acting skills the Youtuber has managed to bag a big Bollywood project, ‘Jug jug jeeyo’ where it would be seen sharing the screen with bug time Bollywood actors like Anil Kapoor, Neetu Singh, Varun Dhawan, and Kiara Advani.
Bhuvan Bam Aka BB ki vines
The man behind India’s first most subscribed individual YouTube channel, Bhuvan Bam is a household name for many. A singer as well, Bhuvan makes exclusive music videos for his channel too. The BB ki vines star is all set to make his silver screen debut too, while it is touted as a relationship drama. It is reportedly produced by Guneet Monga, who’s known to back some of the best content-driven films like ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’, ‘Masaan’ and ‘The Lunchbox’ has roped in Bhuvan for her next as a lead.
A stand-up comedian, Kanan has earned a decent fan base over the years, thanks to his great timing and sense of humor. The comedian made his Bollywood debut in the 2017 movie ‘Noor’ opposite Sonakshi Sinha. He became popular on YouTube, all credits go to his popular show Pretentious Movie Reviews, in which he makes fun of ’90s movies along with Biswa Kalyan Rath.
“I used to write software and now I am working in a movie. It could not be more different than that!” he adds.
With her recent movies like ‘Indoo ki jawani’, ‘Hindi Medium’ and ‘Namastey England’, and ‘Zero’, she launched her own YouTube channel in 2017 and had been frequently collaborating with All India Bakchod before the channel got itself in trouble. “What most people do not know is I am a trained actor. I have a degree in acting; I have not seen myself as an actor. Just that in our film industry, people do not see comedy as a branch of acting. I perhaps do comedic role more easily than others” says Mallika.
