Fitness Lessons From Kareena Kapoor Khan That You Shouldn’t Miss!

From Pilates, Yoga, and Kickboxing to following a simple Indian diet..everything that Bebo does to stay fit!

One thing that Bebo doesn’t seem to miss is to work out every day. The actress is a fitness enthusiast and often shares her photos and videos on her social media pages. The actress doesn’t hesitate from sharing the fitness tips that she swears by!

“I think it’s very important that one has movement in their body. It could be in any form; going for a walk, weight training, or swimming,” shares Kapoor Khan. Her advice is crystal clear: “One should do what they’re able to. I have never really pushed myself, I have done whatever I wanted to do, but not to the point of where I am exhausted” she says.

She mentions her love for kickboxing and how it can drastically change your routine.

“The reason why boxing or kickboxing is good for your mental health is that it helps you release pent-up aggression through a positive activity instead of anger. And releasing your aggression will help you heal your mind and think clearly,” she says.

Apart from this, Kareena has time and again proved her love for Yoga. The actress is said to start her day with Yoga and stretching

“Now after two babies and four months postpartum…this time I was just exhausted and in too much pain to get back but today I’m slowly and steadily getting back at it. My yoga time is my me time… and of course, consistency is key… so, keep at it people.”

The “Tashan” actress had gone through a drastic change in her body weight when she reduced a whopping 20 kilos for her bikini shot. Kareena’s look in the movie gave rise to the popular ‘size zero’ trend, which the actress says was a daunting task to achieve but nonetheless, achievable.

“The size zero phase was a result of a combination of yoga and Rujuta’s meal plan. I was 68 kilos, and she brought me down to 48, which is when I gave that bikini shot for Tashan. I took up that project as a challenge. Adi [producer Aditya Chopra] told me, ‘You need to be super fit to be in this movie. Will you be able to do it?’ And I said, ‘Of course.” To which he said, ‘You’re quite a heavy girl.’ But I was determined. I was ready to challenge my genes, stand there in a bikini and show him that I can have amazing abs” she said.

Not all credits of her fab body and fitness go to Yoga and workout, the actress firmly believes following a simple diet, an Indian diet has always been effective for her.

“I’m a Kapoor—we love our food—and I can’t diet!” she exclaims. Although the secret to a good body is not through starving, but eating good and eating right!

“Ghee, I feel is very important and just the right amount of ghee daily can help you in a long way. Being a Punjabi, the aroma of the ghee brings a million-dollar smile on my face and makes me want to eat more. I can never say no to a Dal with Ghee ka Tadka. A generous amount of ghee on my paratha’s is a must, 365 days and when I’m in the mood to indulge, aate ka halwa made in my kitchen with ghee is “the thing I want to eat” she says.

Restricting to a certain diet and counting your calories might be difficult and hitting the gym every day can sound daunting, but bebo sure makes it look easy!
