Amid the nationwide lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the shooting of many films was called-off. But now that Unlock 1.0 phase has begun, actors, producers, and directors are slowly getting back to work. Although everyone will be adhered to follow the guidelines issued by the Government of Maharashtra, the production and post-production work can now resume after almost 2 months of break.
Now it was back in the month of February, Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram handle to announce that Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, and her will hit the big screen on December 4, 2020. The announcement had come months after delaying the film’s release date several times.
However, due to the lockdown orders, the shooting of the film was called-off and around 10-12 days of shooting is still left. Hence, Ayan has been left with no option but to push the release date of the film yet again.
Anyways, there is a piece of good news for the fans of Alia Bhatt and her other co-stars of Brahmastra. Sources close to the development state that Ayan has been working on the post-production work with different units in different parts of the world. Since the COVID-19 pandemic has forced everyone to sit at home, the ace director too has been interacting with everyone virtually. Reports claim that Ayan has also been working on the screenplay for part 2.
For the unversed, Brahmastra is a trilogy and therefore, Ayan doesn’t want much gap between Part 1 and Part 2. As of now, the blueprint of all the parts is ready.
Ayan’s team has been working on a special preview video trailer that will give everyone a glimpse into the fantasy world. Reports also state that if everything goes as per the plan, the first look of the film will be out in August 2020.
