Eight years in the film line and now Rao has become one of the most popular Indian actors, Rajkumar always delivered his performance with utmost finesse in every movie he’s been part of, here are the films that prove Rajkumar Rao can play any role.

Kai Po Che:

Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘ Kai Po Che ‘ was his first major commercial success. The film was based on the novel ‘ 3 mistakes of my life ‘ by Chetan Bhagat and Rajkummar gave a stunning performance as Govind Patel, a geek whose aim is to turn their small sports business into one big one. His performance was received very well by both the critics and the audience.

Shahid:

The film that took the limelight to the footsteps of Rajkummar was the ‘ Shahid ‘ of   Hansal Mehta. Rajkummar played the title role on the basis of the life of lawyer and human rights activist Shahid Azmi, who was assassinated in Mumbai in 2010.

Citylights:

He played the role of Deepak, a family man pulled by poverty and debt into unfavorable circumstances. The critics and fellow actors highly appreciated Rao’s performance.

Love Sex Aur Dhoka:

The film, directed by Dibakar Banerjee, was the first Indian film to be shown in the style of front footage. Based on the concept of Indian media and voyeurism, Rajkummar played the role of a greedy common boy, Adarsh, who uses sex to earn money to pay his debts

Trapped:

This was the film that really took the limelight to Rajkummar Rao.  Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, Trapped was a survival drama movie that for

most of the film had Rao hogging the camera on his own.
