With the two WHO approved life preventive coronavirus vaccines being made and mass produced in our country India, this new year 2021 is turning out to be a life savior of sorts with the vaccination trials being started in India finally wherein the renowned and ace film maker Nitin Kumar Gupta of Sayonee (2020) fame, is the first Indian celeb to get COVID 19 vaccination.

With the start of 2021, since the new vaccines are being made for COVID 19 prevention in India as well, After Shilpa Shirodkar who got COVID 19 vaccination in Dubai, Film maker Nitin Kumar Gupta is the first celeb to be vaccinated in India.

L.A.C. film director Nitin Kumar Gupta, who is also a medical doctor from the prestigious K.E.M. Hospital, Mumbai, was among the first to get a call for Covid 19 vaccination from BMC.

In a recent interview about the same, when asked the director about his experience of getting the COVID 19 vaccination, he said, “The procedure was quick and pain-free, as most vaccinations are. I received the Oxford University developed Covishield vaccine, for which there are published safety and efficacy data. There was no side effect, though mild pain and fever is common after any vaccination and nothing to be worried about. The second dose will be given after 28 days, only after which the immunity will be ideally developed. The vaccine is shown to build up 70% immunity. This should be good enough to slow down the pandemic when a large percentage of Indians get vaccinated”.

On the work front, currently, the ace film director has directed a web film titled L.A.C. – Live The Battle based on the Sino Indian conflict in the Galvan Valley which has been extensively shot and filmed in Kargil. The film has an ensemble star cast of Aashiqui (1990) fame B town star Rahul Roy and Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega (Zee TV, 2018 – 2021) fame suave hunk TV star Nishant Singh Malkani in leading roles and has been produced jointly by ace producer Nivedita Basu and Chitra Vakil Sharma.
