Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan gained prominence among Indian audiences with his charm and skills. He made a significant Bollywood debut in 2014 Khoobsurat after his much-loved show Zindagi Gulzar Hai. Before entering Bollywood he had already received fame and notability among Indian cinephiles. Years after staying away from the Hindi film industry Fawad Khan speaks on working again in Bollywood.
In a new interview with Variety, Fawad Khan was asked if he would like to work again in Bollywood. He said he is doubtful if this can happen until things get better between the two countries. Moreover, he is unsure if anyone from Bollywood would like to work with him. Fawad Khan stopped featuring in Bollywood after the political fallout between India and Pakistan.
Fawad Khan said, “I think it’s more of a question of whether someone else would like to work with me, instead of me working with others, because fingers will be pointed at them. I’ll do my work and go away but then the people who’ll have to suffer are those who want to collaborate with me. And I care about them because they are going to live there, and they’re going to suffer the consequences.”
He further added, “I’d have to suffer the consequences of what the people or the government or whatever bodies that are involved think about it.” However, Fawad asserted he has made some great friends in the Hindi film industry and would like to work with them at some point of time, be it, “for an international platform, a Pakistani platform, or for an Indian platform.”
Post his debut with Sonam Kapoor in Khoobsurat, the handsome hunk featured with Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra in Kapoor & Sons. He last appeared in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016) starring Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor. Further, he couldn’t make any Hindi movies as Pakistani artists were banned by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena from working in Bollywood.
On the work front, the Pakistani actor was last seen in Disney Plus Hotstar’s Ms Marvel. Fawad Khan is gearing up for his upcoming movie The Legend of Maula Jatt. The Pakistani Punjabi action drama film will release in theaters on 13th October.
