Jee Le Zaraa, the long-awaited and long-delayed road trip movie is coming. Producer and director Farhan Akhtar announced this update in his latest Instagram post, where he could be seen scouting out locations for the film. The film reunites Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif for the first time.

Today, Farhan shared a long shot of himself standing in the middle of the dunes of the Thar Desert on Instagram, writing, “digging for gold.” The film was announced some time ago when the three actresses also posed for a photo together. But there was no update after that, leading to speculation that it had been shelved. There have been various reports of its development, but no official word from Farhan or the producers as of yet.
It is said to be a road trip film inspired by Farhan and his sister Zoya’s previous successes as Dil Chahta Hai and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobaara. The difference here is that it’s led by an all-star cast of women. Alia Bhatt also shared an update on the movie and now sources reveal Ishaan Khattar has come on board. The Dhadak actor will join the powerhouse actresses Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Katrina Kaif, and Alia Bhatt.

The film not only brings together the three leading actresses but also marks Farhan’s comeback as a director. The last film he directed was Don 2 in 2011. Written by Zoya Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar, and Reema Kagti; Jee Le Zaraa is produced by Reema Kagti, Zoya Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani, and Farhan Akhtar.
