Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) is counted as one of the classic films of Bollywood. Released in 1995, the film has completed 26 years of its release. And its lead actress Kajol is celebrating the occasion. Kajol took to Instagram and shared a clip of the iconic train scene from the film. Expressing her gratitude, Kajol wrote in the caption, “Simran caught the train 26years back and we are still thanking everyone for all this love. #26YearsOfDDLJ”
While it’s a happy occasion for the people associated with the film and its fans, people on the Internet are upset. Kajol is facing backlash for celebrating this occasion while she has been silent on the arrest of her DDLJ co-star Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan.
A user wrote in the Instagram comment section, “Your best friend is going through a lot right now, you post about this now when Aryan’s bail is rejected?”
Another user wrote, “Sorry But Why You Don’t Support SRK?”
“We didn’t see anything from your side at least in social media, I was your fan ma’am but now I am heartbroken,” read another comment.
Talking about Aryan Khan’s case, his bail plea was rejected by the court on Oct 20. Now the Bombay High Court is scheduled to hear his bail plea on Oct 26. Aryan was arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau on October 3.
