And now, Kabir Duhan Singh is gearing up for his big Bollywood debut. Kabir, who has worked in over 40 films in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada language is now all set to begin his journey in Bollywood with a film titled ‘Bole Chudiyan’ also starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Tamannaah Bhatia.

Kabir recently got into a candid conversation with Lehren and spilled some beans about his role and his experience working with Nawazuddin.

Kabir said, “Nawazuddin Siddiqui is one of my favorite actors. I got a call from his office. When I met him, his writer narrated me the script. And the first thing Nawazuddin said was, ‘I have seen your work, Kabir. And you are very good at your job. But in this film, you will not be a villain. You are parallel to me’.”

Talking in detail about his role in ‘Bole Chudiyan’, Kabir said, “In this film, I am playing equal to Nawaz. It’s a parallel lead. I am playing the role of Tamannaah’s brother and I have anti-hero image. I am doing romance, comedy and action as well. So, as the graph of the film will change, my character will display more shades. It’s a next door guy image. My character is pretty chilled-out and has a jolly nature. There is nothing villanious about it. They will see me in a totally different avatar that the audience hasn’t yet seen in my previous 40 films.”

He further tells, “My character gets married, we go on a honeymoon. I have a few comic scenes. One song has already been released in which I am sharing screen with Nawaz bhai. The song titled ‘Tumpe hum to marte hain’ is already a big hit.”

Talking about his experience working with Nawazuddin, he said, “I was working with Nawaz bhai, Rajpal Yadav, Aditya Shrivastava. So, I was surrounded with all theatre artists and I got to learn a lot from them. After the shoot, I and Nawaz used to sit together and eat. He never made me feel that he is a superstar. He is a very down to earth person as he has struggled for 20 years. He is very humble. There was no heroism. The entire casy and crew was great.”

When asked about an update on the film’s release, he said, “Four days of shooting is still pending. I am expecting that we will wrap it up soon. Also, the situation is not good at the moment due to the pandemic. So, it’s not a good time to release in theatres.”
