Risen to fame with the famous romantic-comedy drama Pyar Ka Punchnama 2, Omkar Kapoor played a signifcant role back in 2015. The trio of Kartik Aaryan, Omkar Kapoor and Sunny Singh went so popular that fans till date remember the three by their classic performance in the film. From Kartik Aryan’s monologue to Omkar Kapoor’s heroic performance, and Sunny Singh’s comic approach – the sequel was a pure blockbuster, gaining higher recognition than the prequel Pyar Ka Punchnama. While, many think star Omkar Kapoor debuted into the film industry with PKP 2, but the actor had already stepped into the shoes of cinema as a child artist in the film Masoom. In an exclusive interview with Lehren Retro, Omkar recalls his popular song, ‘Chhota Baccha Jaan Ke Humko..’ from the film and speaks on how his career flustered after that one film.

Omkar Kapoor shares that he didn’t find the film,but the film found him highlighting that Masoom was destined to be in his list. Expressing gratitude for working with the OG stars of Bollywood including SRK, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, and many more Omkar Kapoor says that he was very much inspired seeing all of their work, and used to imitate Govinda behind close doors. In the exclusive interview, Omkar further reveals there were many films before Pyar Ka Punchnama 2 which were given to other big stars of the industry.
Reflecting on nepotism and being replaced in several big-budgeted movies, Omkar Kapoor states, “Many a times casting for a film is in process, and last-minute it was given to a ‘more saleable actor’, and it is very common to happen in the industry.” Although he does not name the films, but mentions that there were several films that turned out to be a blokcbuster hit – which were closely associated to fall in his lap, but unfortunately never really did. Quoting the situation with, ‘somebody’s loss is someone’s gain’, the Pyar Ka Punchnama 2 actor says that “you have to take it with a pinch of salt and do your best”
Further in the interview Omkar Kapoor talks about his bond shared with his co-star Kartik Aryan. He says that despite attaining huge recognition from his films, their bond remained unaffected. They still talk with the same courteous bond and are in great touch.
