Ek Villain Returns trailer dropped on Wednesday and fans are super excited waiting for the film to hit the theaters. The audience is in awe with the revelation of the gray characters of the movie wanting to watch the dark side of their favourite actors on big screens. The mystery thriller film stars Arjun Kapoor, John Abraham, Tara Sutaria, and Disha Patani. The producer of the film Ek Villain Returns, Ekta Kapoor made an interesting revelation.
Ek Villain Returns is a sequel of the romantic action film titled Ek Villan starring Ritesh Deshmukh, Sidharth Malhotra, and Shraddha Kapoor. The franchise is helmed by Mohit Suri and produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shoba Kapoor under the banners of Balaji Motion Pictures and T-Series. Ekta Kapoor revealed how she bagged the story of Ek Villain Returns from Rohit Shetty and thanked him for being kind towards her.
She said, “Mohit had initially shared this story with Rohit Shetty. And I wanted to make this film. Rohit is my rakhi brother and I requested him to give it to me and he did!”
Ekta explained, “Mohit Suri had an idea, and I wanted to make a film with him, but due to lockdown it was next to impossible. Then Mohit gave the script to Rohit Shetty, who happens to be my brother, and I went and forced his hand to give me back the script. Rohit being magnanimous as he is gave the script back and told me it’s the best so far”.
Appreciating the filmmaker Mohit Suri, she further added, “Mohit has a tendency to surprise you, he is a crazy genius. I have met a lot of people, but only two people I think are crazy genius, first Mohit Suri and second Anurag Basu. And both drive me mad, but I must admit they are amazing”.
The Villain is returning back to the silver screen after eight years. And the second installment of the romantic action drama has created a lot of hype amongst fans. The much-awaited film will hit the big screens on July 29, 2022.
