Ekta Kapoor is set to bring her next film titled Goodbye. The family entertainer film features Rashmika Mandanna, Amitabh Bachchan, Neena Gupta, and Pavail Gulati. The trailer launch of the film was held in Mumbai in presence of the lead cast and the makers. During the event, filmmaker Ekta Kapoor revealed that since childhood she wanted to work with Amitabh Bachchan.

Founder of Balaji Telefilms, Ekta Kapoor shared that it was her childhood dream to work with Amitabh Bachchan. She also mentioned that she never wished to work with the Khans of Bollywood or any other super-megastar. This is for the first time the producer and Big B have collaborated for work purposes.

Ekta Kapoor said, “Since childhood, I always dreamt of working with only one person and that was Big B. As a child, I used to attend birthday parties at Amit ji’s house, and Shweta (Nanda Bachchan) and Abhishek (Bachchan) are my friends. Amitabh sir once told my dad (Jeetendra) that she just sat and stared at me all evening. I don’t think I had ever wanted to work with anyone, no Khans or anyone else, just Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. Finally, it happened. The experience of working on a film like this is different.”

Amitabh Bachchan too praised her work. He said, “I have seen Ekta growing up since her childhood and to work with her is an honour. I have seen her films and have loved them”.

This year before Goodbye, Ekta Kapoor produced Ek Villain returns, featuring John Abraham, Disha Patani, Arjun Kapoor, and Tara Sutaria. The action thriller film is a sequel of Mohit Suri’s Ek Villain. The movie released on July 29th earned 63 crores at the box office. Ek Villain Returns will premiere on Netflix on September 9.

Goodbye is an upcoming Hindi language film starring Rashmika Mandanna, Amitabh Bachchan, and Neena Gupta. Directed by Vikas Bahl and produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shivashish Sarkar under the banners of Balaji Motion Pictures and Reliance Entertainment. Goodbye is set to hit the theaters on 7th October.
