Ek Villain created terror in 2014 and now returns after eight years with a new look and story. Ek Villain Returns dropped the first look of the characters played by John Abraham, Disha Patani, Arjun Kapoor, and Tara Sutaria. The makers have launched the teaser posters of the second installment exactly on the release date of the original movie after eight years.
In the new poster, every actor is seen in a dark and intense look holding a yellow smiley mask reflecting their villainous avatars. The yellow smiley was also a part of Ek Villain but as a balloon.
T-Series took its official Instagram handle to unveil the first look of Ek Villain Returns. The makers made a series of posts unmasking the Villains and Heroes hiding behind cruel masks. The caption of the series posts read: “In the world of Villains, Heroes don’t exist! And #EkVillain is back after 8 years. Beware #EkVillainReturns on 29th July 2022.” With this T-series has also announced the release date of the much-awaited film.
A source close to the film said, “The dark and intense teaser posters set the precedent for all that the audience can expect in the upcoming multi-starrer. The posters feature the star-cast in nefarious avatars with the famous Ek Villain Returns smiley mask and the slogan: ‘Heroes don’t exist’. This Mohit Suri directorial venture races for a theatrical release 8 years after its first installment. With high octane action sequences along with major twists in its plot, Ek Villain 2 is also expected to feature a melodious and amazing music album that will leave the audience impressed like its prequel!”
Mohit Suri’s action thriller film Ek Villain starred Shraddha Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, and Sidharth Malhotra in the key roles. Everyone was in awe of the trio’s performance but they have now been replaced by John, Arjun, Disha, and Tara in the second installment.
The franchise has been extended by the director himself. Mohit Suri will direct the second part as well. The action thriller film is jointly produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and T-Series. Ek Villain Returns is scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on 29th July 2022.
