Double Xl Box Office Collection: Satram Ramani’s directorial Double XL starring Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi was released in the theatres on 4th November alongside the horror-comedy film Phone Bhoot and the survival-thriller film Mili. While both Mili and Phone Bhoot opened up to positive reviews, Double XL on the other hand failed to impress the audience. And just like its reviews the film also failed to earn a decent collection at the box office. Here’s how much Double XL earned at the box office-

Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi starrer Double XL is a comedy-drama film that talks about subjects like obsession with body weight and female body image issues. Both Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi are the leading ladies in the film who puts light on social issues like body weight. The movie features the story of two plus-size women Rajshree Trivedi from Meerut and Saira Khanna from New Delhi as they navigate society’s beauty standards.
The comedy-drama was released alongside Katrina Kaif starrer Phone Bhoot and Janhvi Kapoor starrer Mili. While Phone Bhoot earned 1.50-2cr on its opening day, Mili on the other hand barely managed to cross the 50 Lakh mark. While Double XL, on the other hand, couldn’t even manage to surpass the 50 Lakh mark. As per the trade reports, the film earned approx 25 Lakh on its opening.
Even throughout the weekend, the film failed to earn good figures. As per the reports, the film collected a total of 23 lakhs on Sat and 18 Lakhs on Sunday. While on Monday the film dropped even further and collected in a range of mere 5-10 Lakh rupees. The comedy-drama registered a terribly low opening at the box office many reports even suggested that the film should’ve released on OTT.
