Have you watched Rohit Shetty directorial Chennai Express? Well, it was Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s second collaboration after ‘Om Shanti Om’. People loved their chemistry in both films. And since Chennai Express was more of a comedy film and Deepika also grew as an actor, the film was well-received by Bollywood buffs who love masala films.
There’s no denying fact that Deepika aced the role and her South-Indian accent. But did you know that the film was first offered to Kareena Kapoor? Well, that’s true. But Bebo rejected it for Aamir Khan. Kareena had already committed to Aamir Khan’s film ‘Taalash’ and since the dates of both the films were clashing, Kareena chose to give up Chennai Express.
Talking about the same, Kareena had said in an interview, “Rohit Shetty really wanted me in Chennai Express, but I was busy doing Talaash. So, I am fine with that. I am sure he will work with other actors and that’s absolutely fine.”
Well, the film turned out to be great with Deepika in it. But we wonder how Kareena would have looked in a South-Indian avatar.
