Disha Patani revealed watching negative movies as preparation for gray role in Ek Villain Returns

Disha Patani has caught the audience’s attention with her intense look in the Ek Villain Returns trailer. Ever since the fans watched a glimpse of the actress in the trailer they eagerly waiting to see Disha in the negative role. The actress has amused everyone with her charming look in films so far. For the first time, she will appear in a gray character and fans can’t wait to see her on-screen.

Preparing for the negative role the actress revealed watching a lot of negative movies. “I just followed my director’s advice, I also remember watching a lot of these negative movies and there was a point I was like sir I can’t watch it anymore because it’s making me into a different human but I just followed what he told me, Mohit sir really knows what he wants and he just makes everybody’s life easier.”

Ek Villain franchise is helmed by director Mohit Suri who has also directed Malang which features Disha Patani and Aditya Roy Kapur. Ek Villain Returns marks a reunion of the director and the actress. Talking on the same, she mentioned: “I got really lucky to work with Mohit sir in Malang. He inspired me to go all out. I love the genre and I would love to even more. This is my second film with him. I hope he is not bored of me because I would love to work with him again and again.”

During the trailer launch of the film, John was asked to comment on the chemistry with Bipasha Basu and Disha Patani. John said: “I think with Disha, it was a fantastic experience to work with. It’s only rare when you get on screen, and you feel that the chemistry is working, we felt the same with Disha.”

Along with Disha Patani, Ek Villain Returns also stars Tara Sutaria, Arjun Kapoor, and John Abraham in pivotal roles. The mystery thriller is the second installment of Ritesh Deshmukh, Sidharth Malhotra, and Shraddha Kapoor’s Ek Villain. Directed by Mohit Suri the film will hit the big screen on 29th July 2022. The movie is produced under the banners of Balaji Motion Pictures and T-series by Ekta Kapoor and Bhushan Kumar.
