Disha Patani Is Grateful To Be Called Diva, Says There’s Nothing Negative

Disha Patani thinks the audience sees her as a diva more than filmmakers

Disha Patani is one of the glamorous actresses in Bollywood. Fans love her for the aura she carries and her personality. Disha Patani says that the audience sees her as a diva more than filmmakers. She is happy with her image among the people and is also grateful for it. However, according to her, she has played glamorous characters in only two films ‘Malang’ and ‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’.

Disha Patani said, “It is a perception and I am grateful that I have some sort of identity. There is nothing negative about it. To be known for anything is big. I see people coming to me and offering me different stuff.”

According to the media report, Disha Patani further added, “More than filmmakers, the audiences have that perception. Filmmakers are open to artists doing different things. They think it is better if the artiste comes out of their comfort zone.”

The audience will get to see a new aspect of her personality in upcoming films, said the actress. She will next be seen as a gray character in ‘Ek Villain Returns’, a sequel to the 2014 hit ‘Ek Villain’. In her work kitty, she has an action film ‘Yodha’ alongside Sidharth Malhotra. She also has ‘Project K’ with Prabhas and has one more film, which is titled- ‘KTina’. Disha further said, ‘I get bored easily. I can’t repeat the same thing. All these movies are different from each other. I hope people will see me differently through these films.

Talking about her character in ‘Ek Villain Returns’, she plays Rasika, a Marathi woman who believes that it is good to be greedy. Patani said, “My character is greedy, she wants certain things in life and she will do anything to get it. She uses men as a tool to get what she wants.”

Disha Patani worked according to Mohit Suri’s vision. The 30 years old actress said, “I follow the instructions of the director. For this film and character, I had to work a bit on the Marathi dialect and on the transition of the character, which was a bit difficult.”

Apart from Disha Patani, ‘Ek Villain Returns’ also stars John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, and Tara Sutaria. The mystery thriller film directed by Mohit Suri will release on July 29.
