Did You Know Shreyas Talpade Stuffed Cotton In His Mouth While Dubbing Pushpa 2: The Rule?

While sharing his experience of dubbing the new movie, Talpade revealed that there are many scenes in the movie when Allu Arjun is speaking while chewing tobacco, or smoking cigarettes in the middle of his dialog-delivery.Thus, it seemed very difficult to match up Pushpa’s personality and demeanour in the film.

After receiving much appreciation for the Hindi-dubbing of 2021 release Pushpa: The Rise, Shreyas Talpade came out with double confidence for dubbing the sequel of the same. Recently, the actor opened up on the challenges he faced while dubbing the Hindi version for the recent release. Talpade disclosed that he had never really met Allu Arjun in-person, but he continues to dub for his voice, infact the pressure to do the best has increased after seeing so much of appreciation for the prequel released in 2021. Shreyas also disclosed a major unknown fact that how he used cotton to stuff his mouth to match up Pushpa’s personality and demeanour in the film.

Shreyas Talpade Stuffed Cotton In Mouth For Dialog-Delivery

Shreyas Talpade told ETimes that he used to do the dubbing of the Pushpa 2: The Rule movie with full dedication, because he witnessed the amount of love the first part received and also saw the hype that was created for the sequel. While sharing his experience of dubbing the new movie, Talpade revealed that there are many scenes in the movie when Allu Arjun is speaking while chewing tobacco, or smoking cigarettes in the middle of his dialog-delivery. Hence, to make the dubbing sound-realistic, Shreyas Talpade stuffed cotton inside his mouth. Further, he also added, ” I have never met Allu Arjun to date. We have never spoken. So, I don’t know what was his feedback on this one. Last time, I heard him say very good things in the press about the dub. I think it’s a bit too early for this film. Maybe after a few days we’ll know what he felt about it.”

Shreyas Talpade opened up on the fact that dubbing for the second part took him more time than the first one. “This time, I did 14 sessions of two hours each. We worked on the minutest of the details. If I was not happy with a scene I’d do it again. There were times when I felt that my voice was not up to the mark so I stopped. I didn’t want to compromise on the job. I think it was worth it especially after seeing the reactions”, he added.

Meanwhile, Pushpa 2 : The Rule that has gained enough momentum on the big screens is continuously leaving an impactful footprint on the theatres. According to the industry reporter Sacnilk, the film’s box office reached the total domestic earnings to ₹265 crore.
