We often get disappointed by the failures in our life. But it’s okay if we don’t succeed in the first few attempts. Even Khiladi Akshay Kumar, who is now the highest-paid actor didn’t succeed when he started off. Did you know, that he had auditioned for the film ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar’, but he was rejected?
Well, ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar’ is an iconic film of Aamir Khan’s career. When the film was in the making, Aamir was already a bonafide star courtesy of films like Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Dil and Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin. On the other hand, Akshay was just a newcomer.
The interesting fact is that Akshay wasn’t even auditioning for the lead role. He went for a side role which was eventually played by Deepak Tijori.
Talking about the same, Akshay once told, “Apna screen test diya maine, for Deepak Tijori’s role. And they didn’t like it. And, apparently, I was crap, so they removed me.”
Another interesting fact is that just a month after ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar’, Akshay’s film ‘Khiladi’ hit the theatres which changed his life forever. It was his breakthrough film and even today, Akshay is known as Khiladi Kumar.
