Actress Dia Mirza became a topic of discussion after she announced her pregnancy a few days ago. The actress got married to businessman Vaibhav Rekhi in February this year. As Dia flaunted her baby bump in the announcement post, people figured out that she had conceived before marriage and wondered if pregnancy was the primary reason to get married.
When a social media user questioned her about the same, Dia responded to address all kinds of rumors once and for all. Dia wrote, “Firstly, we didn’t marry because we were having a baby together. We were already marrying as we wanted to spend our lives together. We discovered we were going to have a baby while we were planning our wedding. So this marriage is not the result of pregnancy. We didn’t announce the pregnancy until we knew its safe (medical reasons). This is the happiest news of my life. I’ve waited for many many years for this to happen. No way I would hide it for any reason other than medical.”
The 39-year-old actress is soon going to embrace motherhood for the first time. She was previously married to Sahil Sangha. The couple parted ways in 2019 ending five years of their marriage.
