Dhanush as an actor needs no introduction, his films speak for themselves. After reclaiming his charm in the south, the actor made a sensational debut in Bollywood along with superstar Amitabh Bachchan in “Shamitabh”, and just like that, Dhanush was not just a popular name in the south, but the whole of India too. 1. Suchi Leaks
Similar to the controversial roles that Dhanush plays on screen, his personal life has also been subjected to many scandals. Suchi leaks definitely top the list when singer Suchitra Karthik pressed sexual harassment allegations on actor Dhanush and composer Anirudh. The singer had taken to her Twitter account to unfold the news to his fans. While her husband Karthik refused to believe this, he shared how his wife was emotionally unstable and her Twitter account was in fact hacked.
2. Affair with Shruthi Hassan
Not just India, the whole world vibed to ‘Why this Kolaveri di’ sung by Dhanush for his film “3”. The movie starred Shruthi Hassan, South Superstar Kamal Hassan’s daughter and one of the closest friends of Dhanush’s wife, as the female lead. While their chemistry in the film was loved by the fans, their off-screen affair news made headlines. Their romance reached such an extent that Dhanush even started avoiding wife Aishwarya at public events. Finally, his father Kasthuri Raja, and father-in-law Rajinikanth had to intervene to save their marriage.
3. Amala Paul’s Divorce
Things got fishier when Dhanush was alleged with the reason behind south actress Amala Paul’s divorce. The two did a super hit film “Vellai Illatha Pattathari” together and their off-screen romance started making rounds in the film industry. While the legitimacy of the news was never confirmed, it was believed that Dhanush was indeed the reason why the actress broke her marriage.
4. Dhanush’s Parentage
If you thought it was just his love life that put him under trouble, you’re probably wrong. The “Atrangi Re” actor was once in the past alleged to be someone else’s biological son. Couple Kathiresan and Meenakshi claimed that Dhanush was in fact their son, who had run away from school to become a star in Chennai. The couple had even claimed of receiving 65,000 rupees per month as maintenance from their biological son Dhanush. While Dhanush refuted the rumors, he actually had to prove that he was born to filmmaker Kasthuriraja and his wife Vijaylaxmi. Dhanush had repeatedly denied the paternity claim and shared how the entire thing was a gimmick by the couple to extort money from him.
While the latest big update in the actor’s life is his separation from wife Aishwarya Rajnikanth after 18 years of togetherness and two sons, Linga and Yatra. Dhanush’s whole life has been full of controversies, while we refuse to believe such rumors, we also can’t deny the fact that there’s no smoke without fire!
