The support and solidarity coming from international celebrities like Rihanna, Amanda Cerny, Mia Khalifa, Jay Sean and many more all for the farmers protest in new Delhi standing in unity with farmers has shaken our indian government along with taking our entire nation by storm which also leaded to sudden pre-planned paid tweets after so many months of silence by B town stars like Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and Karan Johar in support of government’s new farm laws that got roasted and slammed big time by twitteratis on twitter who called them out for being ‘biggest opportunists’. In midst of this international uproar for farmers protest in India, according to latest news reports of a leading indian TV news channel, FIR has been officially filed against globally renowned climate activist Greta Thunberg by Delhi police citing that her tweet on farmers protest promotes and incites enmity. Also, the charges listed in the said FIR include those of conspiracy along with ‘promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language and acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony’.
Seeing all this, ace Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu also reacted to it. Taking to her official insta handle, she shared this news on her instagram stories with a totally sarcastic caption, “bas yehi need of the hour hai”.
It didn’t only stop here, as after this, so many Bollywood celebs reacting to it gave their honest take along with feeling totally surprised and frazzled at this recent development. Where Dia Mirza wrote, “This can’t be real!”. While Mini Mathur wrote this, “We have officially lost the plot”. Sonam Kapoor’s husband and entrepreneur Anand Ahuja commented, “don’t know whether to laugh, cry, be angry, or be upset”. Other Bollywood and digital stars like Huma Qureshi, Amyra Dastur, Farah Khan Ali, Maanvi Gagroo also were amazed by the same.
On the flip side of this, national award winning actress Kangana Ranaut yet again ended up slamming Greta Thunberg in one of her recent tweets within which she also accidentally exposed a confidential document on Twitter.
Nevertheless, even after this FIR got lodged, Greta Thunberg tweeted yet again being strong and firm on her support for farmers and no amount of violence and hate can change her decision. She tweeted, “I still #StandWithFarmers and support their peaceful protest. No amount of hate, threats or violations of human rights will ever change that. #FarmersProtest”.
