In a recent interview with ace Bollywood critic Rajeev Masand and director Shoojit Sircar on Audible Suno Picture Ke Peechhe, Deepika spills on possibility of Piku sequel on cards.

Recently seen celebrating New Year’s Eve by taking time off and welcoming it in Ranthambore with hubby Ranveer Singh, during a recent audio podcast interview, Deepika spills on possibility of Piku sequel on cards.

In her latest interview with renowned journalist Rajeev Masand and director Shoojit Sircar, Deepika spills on possibility of Piku sequel on cards.

She opening up on it also spoke about how the sequel of the film Piku might be for her who also has her own fond memories with late actor Irrfan who had been associated to the film. Hinting to the audiences and fans about the hint of a sequel to Piku on the cards, Deepika also specifically mentioned about how she imagines and thinks her character in the sequel will be. She also highlighted the fact that while she doesn’t really see Piku settling down or getting married from her point of view, but Piku would always see her father within herself, i.e. irritability along with the need to control everything and her issues with men.

Deepika throwing more importance on same, said, “To me, Piku is never one of those girls who would commit and settle down in her life. In the sequel I don’t see her happily married and settled!”.

Emphasizing more on the fact that how Piku was already a visually satisfying masterpiece film on paper, She also explained about the beauty of a relationship between a father and daughter in a pleasant way was a great mode to bond.

Further, also agreeing on how in the old age parents inevitably end up becoming kids and how children take on the responsibility of being parents, said, “I think the characters are just…You become that person. A lot of Piku was that. While shooting for the movie, I felt all of it correct and honest”.

Deepika Padukone fondly recalled about how a particular scene in the film on the highway was a difficult shot. While remembering about the same she stated, on how controlling the road traffic and at the same time frame keeping in mind about the adequate sunlight came on top of her mind.

Elucidating on same, Deepika concluded by telling, “I remember we were in the middle of a highway shooting a scene. It was difficult as we had a very small window to shoot it”.

On the work front, Deepika Padukone will next be seen in Karan Johar’s next film under his Dharma Productions banner helmed by Shakun Batra which also stars Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi in the lead roles. She will also team up with Ranveer Singh for the sports drama titled ’83 that has been backed by Kabir Khan. Deepika will also be seen as the negative lead in YRF Films Dhoom franchise’s next installment Dhoom 4 which would be going on floors by end of 2022.
