Brahmastra is one of the most awaited Bollywood movies. It has been in the making for seven years and after several delays, the film is finally reaching the theatres on 9 September 2022. It is the first movie of Ayan Mukerji’s trilogy and will feature Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy.
Fans would be witnessing the on-screen chemistry of real-life couple Ranbir and Alia for the first time in Brahmastra. While fans are already excited about the multi-starrer fantasy film, the latest reports suggest that Deepika Padukone will be joining this trilogy as well. Ranbir Kapoor’s ex-girlfriend Deepika has reportedly been roped in for Brahmastra 2 to play the role of Parvati. A report by Pinkvilla suggests, “The makers have locked Deepika Padukone to play the character of Parvati. In-fact, Deepika will also make a cameo towards the end of Brahmastra, which will eventually take the film into the second part.”
In Brahmastra Part One: Shiva, Ranbir Kapoor plays the lead role of Shiva who is a DJ by profession and has some supernatural powers within him. Alia Bhatt plays his love interest, Isha.
According to the reports, Brahmastra 2 will revolve around two characters – Mahadev and Parvati. All the three parts of Brahmastra will be interlinked as director Ayan Mukerji attempts to make his own universe deep-rooted in Indian mythology.
Brahmastra Part 1 is releasing in theatres on Sep 9.
